SILVA 3 ORCID No.: 0000-0002-7087-573X 1 , nelsonsilva.pcc@gmail.com 1 , a.katesilva@gmail.com 2 , nelsonsilva.pcc@gmail.com 3 Paranaque City College, Paranaque City ABSTRACT The response on COVID-19 crisis situation has been strongly met with extreme and obligatory action from the security personnel who must perform significant tasks reinforcing the government sector to ensure the safety and security of the public. This study used the Descriptive-Evaluative Method in assessing the impact of TESDA SECURITY SERVICES NC II on the Philippine security services. Anent the profile of security personnel, 38.3% has been in the profession for 6-10 years and 100% took the NC-2 course. For the security training schools, 83.3% have been teaching for over 5 years and 100% uses instructional strategies. For the Security service companies, 66.7% have been in the business for 11-19 years and 100% have more than 200 guards employed. On the levels of basic, common, and core competencies, the security personnel as rated by themselves, training schools, and security service companies, resulted to an interpretative value of “Very Satisfactory”. For the test on the significant difference of basic, common, and core competencies using the T-Test, the “practice career professionalism,” showed no significance, the “enforce access control and identification system” manifested the same result while the rest showed a significant difference. On the comparison of Pre-Test and Post-Test in basic, common, and core competencies, the “enforce emergency response procedures” showed a significant difference, while the rest showed no significant difference. Conclusively, the security personnel performed well after the trainings particularly during emergency and crisis situations as shown by the high correlation generated.
