Adolescence is a transition period between childhood and adulthood. During this period, adolescents experience development reaching physical, mental, social, and emotional maturity. This study aims to identify the relationship between parenting parents with adolescent emotional development. The design of this study is a descriptive correlation using a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study amounted to 296 people and the number of samples 60 people with random sampling research sampling techniques. Data collection tool using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The statistical test used was the chi-square test. The results showed the majority parenting style of authoritarian parents (63.3%) and the majority of good teenage emotional development (61.7%) and obtained p-value = 0.02. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between parenting parents with adolescent emotional development. Keywords: Adolescents; emotional development; Parenting patterns INTRODUCTION The government has realized that the development of state facilities will be useless if the most important element in a country, namely the young generation (generally teenagers) who will replace them in the future, is not optimally developed. In this adolescence, a child who has just experienced puberty often displays a variety of emotional turmoil, withdraws from his family, and experiences many problems, both at home, school, or in the home environment or his circle of friends. (Shidiq & Raharjo, 2018). Generally, this period lasts around the age of thirteen to the age of eighteen, which is the period when a child is in high school. This period is usually felt like a difficult time, both for teenagers themselves and for their families or their environment. Early adolescence is a time when a
