Key words: Vocational training, Beneficiaries, Courses, Skill, Communication
he communication is a performance which leads to
transferring information from one person to
another, from one place to another. Every communication
tends to include various emotions, attitude and different
gestures which helps to explain other for easy
understanding. It also helps in making the work place more
efficient and productive. Further, skill development mission
engages their beneficiaries in various activities conducted in
the programme which gives them self-confidence to speak
or deliver new ideas to unknown people. Skill Development
Mission conducted in Chhattisgarh had tried to bring the
people from different communities to interact while training
in their favourable surroundings. The subscription and
exposure towards different mass-media of the beneficiaries
with their contact pattern after accomplishment of the
training were studied and analyzed in the study.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
The study had major focus towards Chhattisgarh as it is
one of the poor state of our country. Also, the skill
development mission was initiated in 2009 itself which
helped to assess more number of certified beneficiaries.
Majority beneficiaries were found in Bilaspur district. Due
to this beneficiaries of Bilaspur were selected on the basis of
most popular courses among them. The proportionate
sample of top five selected courses were garments making,
ICT, electricals, medical and nursing and construction was
done by using formula:
ni = (Ni / N) × n
Where,
ni – sample size of ith stratum
Ni – population size of ith stratum
N – total population size
n – total sample size
The selection of sample size of each given courses is
mentioned in (Table 1):
