Francisco de Almeida e contra ele, ouvidor geral. O documento transcrito a seguir traz novos elementos para a análise deste evento e para a história da formação do mundo Atlântico no fim do século XVI e início do XVII. Abstract: Between 1592 and 1593, the institution of the general government in Angola and the measure of direct subordination of the sobas, African chiefs, to the Crown led to an uprising of the conquerors and Jesuits against the governor D. The document transcribed below brings new elements for the analysis of this event and for the history of the making of the Atlantic world in the late 16th and early 17th centuries.
