As principais técnicas de reprodução humana assistida podem ser utilizadas a partir de gametas do próprio casal ou de gametas doados por terceiros. A forma heteróloga da reprodução assistida abrange questões éticas, médicas e jurídicas como a doação de gametas, critérios para doação, gratuidade, anonimato, bem como as relações entre o doador de gametas, o filho nascido da utilização de seu material genético e o pai socioafetivo, e os direitos à identidade genética, à paternidade, a alimentos e à herança. Abstract : Progress in the area of biotechnology of medically assisted human procreation enables couples who cannot have children by natural means to achieve their dream of having children. The main techniques of assisted human reproduction may use gametes from the actual couple, or gametes donated by third parties.
