Abstract The paper presents the problem of the
development of key competencies of future physical
education teachers. The methods of shaping key
competencies for future physical education teachers are
disclosed, namely: social (ability to cooperate, understand,
social activity, formation of a physical culture of a person,
the basics of a healthy lifestyle), motivational (formation of
personal ideas about the prestige of a high level of health
and physical fitness, the ability to learn, a creative
approach to the use of motor actions in various conditions),
and functional (ability to operate with knowledge of
physical activity, knowledge of the history of physical
culture and sports, the expansion of motorial experience),
which reflect a number of requirements of physical culture
activity, is gradually expanding and improving. The paper
studies the results of the influence of sports disciplines on
the formation of certain indicators in students using
statistical methods (correlation analysis, methods of
mathematical data processing). To conduct the study, the
methodological apparatus implemented was the analysis of
literary sources, laws and regulations, normative
documents, analysis, design, modeling, questionnaire
survey, observation, generalisation of the pedagogical
experience of specialists. The study involved 210 students
of 1st – 2nd courses studying in the educational training
program “014 Secondary Education (Physical Education)”.
According to the results of observation and survey, it was
found that students with a low level of spatial thinking and
peripheral vision can have a sufficient culture of
movements and successfully perform complex
coordination exercises, underestimating the importance of
tactile sensation and perception of the environment. It has
been proven that the integration of knowledge contributes
to the formation of professional competencies of students
to teach the course “Physical Education”.

1. Introduction
Active changes in activities in the life of each person
leads to the idea that health and a healthy lifestyle are the
source of an active search self-search in society, a
balanced attitude to changes in the environment and in
activities. All these challenges gave reason to share their
ways to implement physical education. The difficulty in
finding an approach to students of secondary educational
institutions indicates a decrease in the importance of
physical exercises and physical activity in the life of every
child. A physical education teacher is a carrier of social
skills that form a culture and a healthy lifestyle [1,2].
The trajectories of the physical education have
