1. INTRODUCTION
Change is something that is sure to happen and will happen and has been experienced by
humans since time immemorial. When these changes occur in social problems, we will face
many phenomena that occur. In connection with this, if we explore a number of theories about
social change, it will get a picture of the process of the fact of change from one period to another,
which is influenced by a number of factors surrounding it. In looking at the symptoms of
change, some see change as a process, some see change as a form of changing stages, some see
it as forming a system and some see it as forming a model.
Sociology scientists even explain that changes that occur in human life and are known as
social change are changes in the structure of society, because society is seen as a large system
in balance (Lauer, 2003). There are also those who see social change as an evolutionary process
as stated that changes will continue to occur in human life, whether changes in body or physical
shape or changes in social and cultural fields.
