In other words, self-efficacy is a feature that is effective in the formation of behavior and the judgments of the individual about organizing the necessary activities to show a certain performance and performing these activities successfully. The aim of this study is to determine self-efficacy perceptions of prospectiveTurkish language teachers regarding Turkish language teaching. Mixed research model including both quantitative and qualitative dimensions was used in the study. Study group of quantitative part included a total of 809 prospectiveTurkish language teachers enrolled at Turkish Language Education Departments of Education Faculties in Fırat University, Cumhuriyet University, İnönü University, Siirt University, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Dicle University, Adıyaman Universityand Erciyes University during Spring term of 2018-2019 academic year. Qualitative part included 54 prospective Turkish language teachers enrolled at universities mentioned above. “Self -Efficacy Belief Scale in Turkish Language Teaching” developed by Çocuk, Alıcı ve Çakır (2015) and “Prospective Turkish Language Teachers’ Self-Efficacy Beliefs Interview Form” developed by the researchers were used as the data collection tools. Self-efficacy beliefs of prospective Turkish language teachers were compared in terms of gender, grade level and university variables and it was determined that prospective teachers’ beliefs differed based on the variables mentioned. Study results revealed that prospective Turkish Language teachers had a high level of self-efficacy regarding Turkish language teaching. Structured Abstract: Self-efficacy which was developed by the pioneer of social learning theory, Albert Bandura, is a motivation theory that reveals how an individual feels, thinks, motivates himself and behaves. One of the important stakeholders of education and training is undoubtedly teachers.
