TECHNOLOGICAL AND SCIENTIFIC
DEVELOPMENTS: IMPLICATIONS FOR THE
COMMUNICATION INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA

ABSTRACT
This study examines how Technology and Scientific development has impacted the
communication Industry in Nigeria. This paper adopted a rapid evidenced-based
review to gain insight that allows for a structured and rigorous search, as well as a
quality assessment of the issues raised. Renowned online scientific repositories such
as, DOAJ, Science Direct, EBSCOHost, Google Scholar, Web of Science, Scopus and
Wiley Digital Library were highly considered. Using the database search, 25
published relevant articles from online sources were reviewed based on the inclusion
and exclusion criteria. The paper concludes that the business of sharing information
i.e. the communication industry in Nigeria has witnessed some significant changes.
