Jeba Department of Computer Applications, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, Kumaracoil, Tamil Nadu, India ABSTRACT Among the challenges faced by the multi-document summarization, least attention is given for the organizing or reordering of extracted sentences to make the collective summary, since it is not an issue in single document summarization and a challenge only in multi-document summarization. It is essential to find a better solution to order the extracted sentences from multiple input documents by avoiding the repetition of sentences with similar meaning to keep continuity across the sentences. Unfortunately majority of document summarization approaches have not given importance to this final step hence feel lacks of continuity in reading summary. If we put the extracted sentences in the summary in the order of extraction, then the summary may be a collection of disjoint sentences and we cannot keep the continuity in between sentences. Here we are proposing a new methodology to reorder extracted sentences from multiple documents in an efficient semantic way by using Themesets. To reorder sentences extracted as summary, we propose a two phase approach, a syntactic procedure followed by a semantic procedure. After completing the two procedures a reordered summary with improved readability has been generated. Key words: Sentence Reordering, ThemeSets, Verbal lexemes, Theme matrix, Semantic comparison.
