ABSTRACT
The paper considers possible approaches to solving the problem of positioning
patients indoors. This task is relevant in the treatment of severe forms of diseases
associated with oncology, diseases of the heart, blood supply system and others, in
which a sudden loss of consciousness by the patient may occur. In such a situation, it is
necessary to find a patient in a limited time and provide him with help. The paper
discusses approaches to patient search based on the application of information
processing methods from optical sensors, Inertial Technologies, Magnetometry,
Acoustic Positioning, Radio-Frequency Positioning, Video Analytics and Machine
Vision.
Key words: Patient positioning, Sudden loss of consciousness, Cardiology, Oncology.
