INFLUENCE OF COGNITIVE STYLES ON
PROJECT SUCCESS: MODERATING ROLE OF
PROJECT COMPLEXITY

ABSTRACT
The study's primary objective is to analyze the impact of cognitive styles on project
success and moderating role of project complexity. With quantitative research, design
data was collected from software houses of twin cities i-e Islamabad and Rawalpindi,
Pakistan. A total of 500 questionnaires was distributed among the software developers
and the complete responses received were 384, i.e., 80%. Using SPSS 21, statistical
techniques were applied, and the results revealed that cognitive styles are positively and
significantly associated with project success. If the project complexity is high, then it
weakens the relationship between cognitive styles and project success
