Dünyada genel olarak Kıta Avrupası ve Anglo-Sakson olmak üzere iki denetim sistemi bulunmaktadır. Türkiye, Anglo-Sakson denetim sistemine yaklaşmaya gayret ederken, Anglo-Sakson sisteminin önder ülkesi olarak Amerika Birleşik Devletleri de Kıta Avrupasının bazı tekniklerinden esinlenmek- tedir. Bu çalışma içerisinde Kıta Avrupası denetim sistemine yakın bir örnek olarak Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’ndeki genel müfettişlik ofsleri ve Türk kamu yönetiminin Anglo-Sakson denetim sisteminden esinlendiği performans denetimi incelenmektedir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Genel müfettiş, denetim sistemi, performans denetimi ABSTRACT The Recent Trends In Inspection System In The USA And Turkey: Inspector General And Performance Auditing Inspection is one of the key instruments to protect citizens from arbitrary acts and treatments by the civil cervants and the public entities. There are miscellaneous samples of inspection systems in the world: Continental and Anglo-Saxon. While Turkey strives to approach to the Anglo-Saxon inspection system, the United States of America, leading country of Anglo-Saxon system, tries to adopt some technics inspired by Continental sys- tem. Within this study, we shall examine the general inspector offices in the United States of America as a model from Continental system and the performance auditing system as the latest trend from Anglo-Saxon system in Turkish public administration.
