ABSTRACT
This research has an objective to study the application of the plant layout system
for improvement efficiency of bottle selection process in storage area. The 2
alternative layouts of bottle selection plant were evaluated by criteria ( Utilization 4 1)
of storage area Utilization of operation area Transport distance and Percent 2) 3) 4)
of efficiency) and analytical hierarchy process (AHP). The result showed that first
plant was suitable for the previous factory. The result shown Utilization of storage
area was more than the current layout that was or increase 46.34% 31.71% 14.63%.
Utilization of operation area decrease from to or decrease 68.29% 53.66% 14.63%.
Next, Transport distance for trucks was , meters due to distance has reduced form 1 138
current layout as , meters or reduce and transport distance for forklifts 2 618 56.53%
has reduced from current layout as , to , meters or reduce 3 970 2 214 44.23%.

1. INTRODUCTION
Warehousing plays a key role in the performance and effectiveness of every company. It
improves supply chain efficiencies and logistics accuracy and inventory management, as well
as allows product accumulation, consolidation, and customization. Creating a well-organized
plant layout helps increase productivity and improves overall company efficiency.
This research focuses on improvement of the existing warehouse efficiency in terms of
plant layout and space utilization in a beverage company in Thailand. In the case study, the
beverage company has two warehouses, namely, a warehouse operated by relying on human
