Mengajar menghubungkan antara para cendkiawan dan ahli ilmuan baru di dalam sesebuah akademi di universiti fungi pengajaran menggalakkan kesarjanaan. Menggunakan tanggapan Boyer (1999) tentang kesarjanaan pengajaran, kesimpulan daripada temu bual dengan pelqjar mengenai satu daripada kursus Sarjana Pendidikan, artikel ini mengkaji pandangan guru terhadap frajektori pembelajaran pelajar yang membawa kepada pembinaan kesarjanaan di dalam universiti. Introduction This special issue on 'Teaching and Learning in Higher Education' calls for an examination of the relationship between three key notions: 'teaching', 'scholarship', and 'the idea of the university', a phrase borrowed from the title of Newman's 1852 classic, which has, historically at least, served to define the concept of the university and a university education.
