Öz Türünün ilk örneği Edgar Allan Poe tarafından Morgue Sokağı Cinayeti ile verilen polisiye roman çok okunmasına rağmen edebiyatın üvey evladı olarak kabul edilmiştir. Edebiyatımıza çeviri yoluyla giren polisiye roman, Türk okuru tarafından ilgiyle karşılanmış, Peyami Safa ve Kemal Tahir gibi yazarlarımız bu türde eserler vermiştir. Ancak biyogralerinde görünmesini istemedikleri için olsa gerek bu tür eserlerinde takma ad kullanmışlardır. Hatta bazı ediplerimiz ise polisiye roman yazmış olmalarına rağmen bu eserlerinden kendileri de bahsetmemeyi tercih etmişlerdir. Bunlardan birisi de Necip Fazıl'dır. Aynadaki Yalan ve Kafa Kâğıdı adlı romanların yazarı olan Necip Fazıl, bu eserlerini tekrar bastırmışsa da, 1928'de Arap hareriyle yayımladığı Meşum Yakut adlı eserini yeniden yayımlamadığı gibi bu eserin adını dahi anmayacaktır. Bu makalede polisiye roman kavramı ve tarihçesinden bahsedilerek Necip Fazıl'ın söz konusu eseri, Edgar Allan Poe'nun Morgue Sokağı Cinayeti adlı eserinden yola çıkılarak oluşturulan polisiye roman kurgusu çerçevesinde değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Polisiye roman, Necip Fazıl, Edgar Allan Poe, Morgue Sokağı Cinayeti, Meşum Yakut By Necip Fazıl In The Context Of Detectıve Novel Abstract Although it is widely read, the detective novel which was pioneered with The Murders in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allan Poe has been neglected by the literature eld. The detective novel was introduced to our literature with translation, it was been welcomed warmly by the readers and some writers such as Peyami Safa and Kemal Tahir wrote in this style. But they wrote under pseudonyms because they did not want it to be seen in their biographies. Moreover some scholars wrote detective novels, even though they didn't mention about it. One of them was Necip Fazıl. The writer of the novels Aynadaki Yalan ve Kafa Kâğıdı republished them, however he neither republished Meşum Yakut which was published in Arabic letters in 1928 nor mentioned its name. ın his article, in addition to the concept of detective novel and its history, the novel of Necip Fazıl is evaluated in line with the ction of detective novel by starting with the Murders in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allan Poe.
