Un’analisi queer de Il padrone di Gofredo Parise Alice Grazzini Abstract: Tis paper aims to explore the genesis and the building process of the “worker” iden- tity category, as described in Gofredo Parise’s novel Il padrone (1965). Te construction of worker identity, obtained through repetition of standard actions, can be read as a transposition of the defnition of performance in queer theory. Te novel is writen as a grotesque and allegoric fable; this is the reason why the events can be generalized as an exemplary case. Trough the analysis of Il padrone, the violent aspect of the worker anthropo-poiesis clearly appears. Il padrone can thus be considered as a text about performativity and its implications, which are the objects of study of queer theory. Eventually, the text illustrates resistance strategies to the process of subjectivation atempted by characters and, through a nihilist perspective, it explores death as the extreme way out from oppression. Introduzione Qesto intervento si prefgge come scopo l’indagine del processo di genesi e consolidamento della categoria identitaria 1 dell’impiegato, per come emerge nel testo di Gofredo Parise intitolato Il padrone (1965). 2 Il padrone risulta un testo emblematico sia da un punto di vista contenutistico che stilistico: è la storia di un giovane e ingenuo provinciale che si trasferisce in cità dove viene impiegato in una dita commerciale. Mosso da grandi speranze ed aspetative di autonomia e realizzazione, ben presto si trova a fare i conti con il dotor Max, padrone dispotico e ambiguamente pater- nalista. Con il passare del tempo il protagonista si trova imprigionato in una routine opprimente, costreto a subire quotidiane iniezioni dolorose ed a interagire con colleghi che sofrono di malesseri continui e che sem- brano usciti da un fumeto, come Pippo, il dotor Bombolo, e Diabete.
