Abstract
Driving is an essential component in our daily life and it relationships with quality of life (QoL) shows
very limited evidence. The aim of this study is to develop an assessment scale related with the driving
attitude among Malay young adult from all over Malaysia, which had multiple socio-demographic
backgrounds. The validity and reliability test for item and person value using Rasch model shows .80,
followed by .84 Cronbach’s Alpha value. This study would strongly recommend that the use of Attitude
towards Safe Driving Scale (ASDS) has a great potential as a predictor to understand human respond
and their QoL.
