Sudershan Reddy Professor, Jain University, Bangalore, India Kannamani. R Research Scholar- Jain University and senior manager (Atos IT), Bangalore, India ABSTRACT This paper aims to give a better understanding of the typical research process, the importance of research data analysis, the relationship between the data analysis and its previous stages. We also talk about various known data analysis tools and the well- known techniques available to the researchers. We discussed the techniques used against each hypothesis, the reason for choosing the techniques and outcome of the hypotheses. Importantly, this paper gives an insight to the researcher to understand the necessity of data analysis, choose the right tools and techniques, the need for proper mapping between the research title, objectives, research questions, hypothesis and questionnaire. Research journey Academic research journey is an interesting activity, but not that easy as it involves the huge number of steps, process, people, tools, techniques, methods, time and budget. Unless the researcher has a defined and well-known path for the study, it may lead to confusions and complications which may impact the research study negatively. The researcher should have an ability to understand the multiple factors in and around the research and forecasting from one
