(English) Like many other international institutions the European Union is involved in the Middle East Peace Process. One of its projects is to build an Anti-Terrorism Laboratory (ATL) in GAZA, Gaza Strip, PALESTINE, focusing on explosives analysis, document forgery and firearms. In a working environment far from acceptable in either Europe or the USA, we have had to make choices to assure traceability and reliability for the actual and future development of this laboratory. As a consequence quality management could be immediately introduced in the thinking process and developed as a powerful tool for use by everyone in the laboratory in order to optimise the capability of the ATL. Abstract. (French) Comme d’autres institutions internationales, l’Union Européenne est impliquée dans le processus de paix au Moyen-Orient. L’un de ses projets est de créer un Laboratoire Antiterroriste (LAT) à GAZA, PALESTINE, orienté sur l’analyse des explosifs, la contrefaçon des documents et l’analyse des armes à feu. Loin des conditions de travail européennes ou américaines, nous avons du faire des choix pour assurer la traçabilité et la fiabilité des développements actuels et futurs de ce laboratoire. L’assurance qualité a pu être immédiatement introduite dans le processus de pensée et est apparue comme un outil puissant adopté par chacun pour optimiser les capacités du LAT.
