ABSTRACT
This study is intended to examine the individual influence approach and genders emotional
intelligence abilities towards organization performance. In addition this study will examine the
relationship between genders emotional intelligence and transformational leadership.

INTRODUCTION
No matter what career, position that posed, industry the organization focuses on, professional or not,
the ultimate desire outcome is to achieve high performance. Researchers have aggressively examined
the fact of how Emotional Intelligence helps to attain desire outcome or performance. Practitioners as
well as researchers had given rise to developing EI and organizational learning capabilities with the
intention of improve performance in response to increasing turbulence in the business environment.
Individual are more likely to negotiate or deal with those who able to regulate well their emotion and
show optimist mood. Originally, Emotional Intelligence (EI) is defined by Salovey and Mayer (1990),
as the intellectual processes in recognizing, using, understanding, and managing of individual's own
and others' emotional status and capability to use those feelings to motivate, plan, and attain the
individual and organizational performance. They further define EI as a process discriminates among
them and to use this information to guide one’s thinking and actions. As a result, leaders with high EI
talented to maintain strong relation with others as well as recognized by bottom line workers.
Precisely, serious attention should be given to EI since it deems to be a vital issue that determines the
effectiveness of teamwork and group process. The members in a team work which are high levels in
EI will able to interact more closely and cooperate more intimately in the group works.EI contributes
significantly to the team success. When the team progress carries out effectively and smoothly, this
will link to the excellent performance of team.
Erkutlu & Chafra (2012) added that EI within the leaders would possess high levels of EI are likely to
recognize followers’ needs, take active interest in them and respond to changes in their emotional
states. As such we can conclude that EI and leaders are the abilities of speech and listening that enable
a person to distinguish the types of emotions and evaluate their own and others. EI is a set of abilities
that provide an avenue of improvement in the relationship between the principal and agent. Thus, EIis
a creation of the amount of interaction between the coherent and emotional centers of the brain by
referring to Kavousy, Ardahaey, Fateme and Chivaei (2007) study. An emotional competence is “a
learned capability based on emotional intelligence that results in outstanding performance at work”
(Goleman, 1998b).In view of this it is vital for top management to understand the reasons why
