ABSTRACT This paper is focus on the design of Net Zero Energy Building. This is G+1 hotel building. For achieving energy efficiency passive solar building strategies are implemented also various green materials are uses. We are discussing detail design of off-grid Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) system for that particular building. Keywords: Net Zero Energy Building, Energy Efficiency, Passive Solar Building Strategies, Green Material, Renewable Energy Sources. I. INTRODUCTION The worldwide CO2 emission mitigation efforts, the growing energy resource shortage and the fact that buildings are responsible for a large share of the world’s primary energy use drives research towards new building concepts, in particular zero energy /emission buildings (ZEBs). Zero Energy Building (ZEB) is a building with zero energy consumption, that all the energy use by the building is totally based on renewable energy sources created on the site like solar, wind, etc. The main aim is to reduce carbon emission and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Share of global energy consumption and CO2 emission by building sector is maximum as compare to other sectors. Energy consumption is almost 36% and CO2 emission is 39% by building sectors itself. II. NZEB DESIGN It includes achieving energy efficiency by passive solar design strategies, using various green materials and using efficient equipment and systems. And then finally utilize renewable energy sources. Introduction- That Area= 486.08 m2 Location = Peth vadgaon Climate =Hot dry Typology =New construction Design- Orientation= Longest facade is located along north-south. This will provide glare free light in summer from north without shading and winter sun penetration from south. Wind direction= Longest axis is perpendicular to wind direction, in this location it is east-west. Design strategies dramatically reduce the energy use first then an extremely efficient lighting system and use energy efficient materials. Shading= South facing windows are shaded by providing overhangs, which provide effective shading by blocking summer sun and admitting winter sun. Landscaping= Outside area is covered with plantation. Daylighting= Sidelights in terms of windows of proper sizing provide abundant amount of natural daylighting. Skylights are provided over multipurpose hall and first floor passage top. Also glass panels are used daylighting purpose
