We aim to show that the resolution of hiatus occurs widely within the phonological phrase, independent of tonal or accentual quality of the vowels in friction. Nevertheless, blocking of the sandhi occurs at the boundary of the intonational phrase in at least one of the accented vowels in friction. Keywords: Hiatus; sandhi; Principense.
