This paper focuses on the most important lessons learnt which some of them are as follows in brief: 1- Lack of exact public awareness and information dissemination for safe emergency evacuation of vulnerable and most in danger areas. 2- Difficulties of sheltering and safe emergency evacuation. 3- Safety and security measures. 4- No sufficient related training especially community based. 5- No sufficient and planned control on the roomers. Continuing the paper based on field work the actions taken will be explained and then after an analysis of the mentioned above some preventive measures will be proposed as alternatives through which we can decrease the vulnerability and help the people to be self sufficient and can cope with the situation. INTRODUCTION "Gonu tropical cyclone" hit the south eastern part of Iran by the speed of 110 km/h at its starting point with the speed of nearly 250 km/h which also affected Chabahar port that lasted for 2 days. The height of the waves caused by the gonu tropical cyclone that hit the coastal areas of the Sistan and Baluchestan and Hormozgan provinces in Iran were between 4 to 5.5 meters that in Chabahar city was nearly 5 meters. The coastal areas and shores belonging to these provinces were evacuated and the people moved towards the higher elevated regions. Since the 1945 gonu tropical cyclone the one recently taken part was the strongest cyclone so far. (Rahimi, 2007) Based on the disseminated news the number of killed and injured in Iran in Sistan and Baluchestan and Hormozgan provinces all together were about 21 people. (Rahimi, 2007) Some of the villages located in the path of the cyclone have suffered destructions up to 30 percent. For giving a general view about the problem, we can mention that the disaster management system is not yet established based on the standards. So for increasing the safety of people the situation should cope with the facilities in reach. The main point that is very important and can be mentioned here is that based on the satellite images the cyclone could have been predicted. So the people could have had enough time for emergency evacuation. (Rahimi, 2007)
