The aim of the study was to analyze domestic cooking energy consumption, and establishes relationship between level of income and rate of consumption of fuelwood, and assess opinions on the use of alternative energy.Quota sampling technique was used toselectthe 93 respondents in the study area and administered with structured questionnaire.Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique was used to determine relationship between income level and fuelwood consumption and Chi square test was also conducted to assess the differences among respondents’opinions with regard to the use of alternative energy.The result shows
