Nevertheless, accompanying problems are far from being solved, security problems among others. This paper presents an overview of the new technical tools involved in the expanding domain of copyright protection. We will focus on digital pictures protection because it is a new issue that implies particular techniques, like labeling or watermarking and that will be crucial in a near future. After the description of the different tools, this paper introduces briefly the management of these tools and the definition of some functions involved in this.
