Our intention was to create and experimentally validate effective means of physical training, depending on the biomotor potential and the age particularities of the female students, the conditions of practice, as well as the requirements of the competitions to participate in. The pedagogical experiment included a sample of 14 female athletes members of the representative cheerleading team. We intervened in the preparation of the experimental group by applying training programs focused on the development of specific motor qualities. Comparing the results obtained in the initial phase with those at the end of the research, demonstrates the efficiency of the didactic strategy approached, an aspect that favored the performances evolution of the subjects investigated. 1. Introduction Cheerleading has undergone a remarkable evolution in recent years, becoming a spectacular and competitive sport, which is based on elements of artistic and aerobic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and dance. Internationally and nationally, cheerleading competitions are held in several sections: traditional pom-poms cheerleaders, cheerleading, show dance cheerleaders și performance cheer.
