Abstract Although Martin Heidegger did not give priority to ethics, his work nevertheless shows certain ethical aspects. A certain ethical dimension can also be found in his refection of science, which is remarkable. In our paper, we will not deal with the existentialist or phenomenological dimension of his philosophy. Heidegger touches on the refection of science in selected texts. He talks about science as such, but he also talks about physics. His critical refection is aimed at several aspects of science: objectifcation in science, infuencing science by side econom- ic interests, fachidiotism in science, and inappropriate reduction in the energy supply of stocks. Part of the paper is also the evaluation of the survey, which we conducted in the form of interviews with scientists.
