Kebiasaan lalat rumah dalam mencari makanan pada sampah basah hasil buangan rumah tangga berpotensi menjadikannya vektor patogen penyebab penyakit diare. Daun cengkeh (Syzigium aromaticum) diketahui mempunyai senyawa ftokimia yang berpotensi sebagai pengusir lalat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mempelajari konsentrasi ekstrak alkohol S. aromaticum yang efektivitas sebagai repellent semprot terhadap M. domestica dengan cara penyemprotan ekstrak ke wadah yang berisi ikan. Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan metode ekperimental RAL sederhana dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Variasi konsentrasi 0% (control) 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% dari 1000 ppm. Analisis data menggunakan analisis uji statistik Anova versi SPSS 24 pada taraf signifkan 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi ekstrak daun cengkeh yang digunakan dalam repellent semprot, maka semakin banyak lalat yang menjauh. Kemampuan tolak repellent semprot terhadap lalat rumah adalah sebesar sebesar 83,7% untuk konsentrasi ekstrak 10%, 88,88% untuk konsentrasi ekstrak 15%, 91,10%untuk konsentrasi ekstrak 20% dan 95,55% untuk konsentrasi ekstrak 25% Ekstrak alkohol daun cengkeh berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai bahan aktif repellent semprot yang efektif terhadap lalat rumah. Kata kunci: Efektivitas, Syzigium aromaticum, repellent, Musca domestica. Abstract House fy (Musca domestica), as a member of Muscidae family is widely found in households in Indonesia. Because of their feeding behaviour on rubbish, house fyes are considered as potential vector for some diseases, like diarhea. Clove leaf extract contains several phytochemistry compound that could be use as insect repellent. The purpose of this study was to determine the effective concentration of clove leaf (Syzigium aromaticum) alcohol extract as a repellent spray against housefies (Musca domestica) on target surface. This research was conducted using experimental method with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Applied of extract concentration consisted of 0% (control), 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% of 1000 ppm. Data were analyzed using Anova of SPSS 24 at a signifcant level of 0,05%. The results showed that increased concentration of clove leaf extract using in spray repellent led to increased repellency of house fies, with values mentioned respectively : 83.7% for 10% concentration, 88,88% for 15% concentration, 91,10% for 20% concentration and 95,5% for 25% concentration. Clove leaves extract is potential ingredient to be used in spray repellent against house fies.
