PG is associated with circulating autoantibodies targeting the extracellular noncollag- enous domain of the hemidesmosomal protein BP180. Diagnosis of PG is based on direct immuno- fluorescence (DIF) showing linear C3 and/or IgG deposits on the dermoepidermal junction (DEJ). DIF Table II.
