In December 2019, a new Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) was identifed in Wuhan, China, causing serious illness and death. The mos important clinical symptoms in patients with COVID-19 include fever, cough, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, and ches pain. The rapid spread of the virus has left countries with large numbers of infected people such that until Janu- ary 10, 2021, there have been 89048345 infected people and1930265 victims. Home quarantne is one strategy for COVID-19 patents with mild symptoms; but those in home quaran- tne may not have enough informaton for self-care. Objectve The present study aims to investgate the efect of telenursing educaton on the comfort of patents with COVID-19 in home quarantne. Methods In this quasi-experimental study, 60 patents with COVID-19 (30 in the interventon group and 30 in the control group) who were randomly selected from among those referred to Bank Melli Iran Hospital in Tehran, Iran. Patents in the interventon group received self-care educaton by telephone at six sessions. The Kolcaba’s General Comfort Questonnaire (GCQ) was used to assess the comfort of patents. The questonnaire was completed before and 21 days afer the interventon. The collected data were analyzed in SPSS sofware. Signifcance level was set at P<0.05. Findings Afer telenursing educaton, the mean GCQ score in the interventon group did not increase signifcantly compared to the control group (P=0.93). Moreover, the mean postest score of GCQ in the interventon group showed no signifcant increase compared to the pretest score (P=0.08). Conclusion Telenursing educaton is not efectve in increasing the comfort of patents with COVID-19 in home quarantne.
