It makes this Brazilian location a strategic place, because of its geographical, economic and demographic characteristics. The aim of the present article is to analyze the tourism activities that already happen in the city and verify its tourism potential as well, specifically in the 38 kilometers above the mouth of Paranapanema River, inside Parana river, which goes 50 meters inside its bank. It’s important to emphasize that this study is part of a project called “Evaluation of the islands and banks of Parana river, in the city of Rosana – SP”. Tourism in Rosana is still incipient – its main focus are predatory fishing, technological tourism in Engenheiro Sergio Motta Electric Plant and the local beach.
