Rice is their staple food and they are non-vegetarians and like to drink wine made from rice or corn. In general, their family is an inherently joint family. The marriage is referred to as neila through negotiation. Men usually wear loincloths. It's a bit like a "dhoti". Women wear "khamtang" loincloths that are wrapped around their waist and reach a little more than half of their thighs. Mithuns and pigs are butchered at the festival for the community's lavish feasting. Youth institution (Lom) means a traditional form of youth club. They believed in a Supreme God named Chung Pathien. They are controlled by their chiefs. Agriculture is the main occupation of many Thadou. They have a culture of their own and different languages, literature, clothing, social life and self-management, livelihood, defense, marriage, divorce, naming a child, Kut Festival, Sagol Kengkhai, Vaphol Lam, Lakoi Lam, Khongbai Lam, Lamkuol, Saipikhup, such as folk dances, Jhumming, pets, religion, hunting etc. The present paper adopts field study method through direct experience. The participatory research method was also used as a technique for the study, and the research is mainly based on auto-ethnographic types. This study mainly focused on the socio-cultural life of Thadous in the Chandel district of Manipur. Socio cultural is something that develops the social and cultural aspects. Tribe is an ethnic organization. It is a community of peoples who claim common ancestry and generally practice endogamy. Tribe is a more or less homogeneous society with a common government, a common language / dialect and a common culture. Culture is those scholarly values practiced by the tribes. Thadous are one of the hill tribes in northeastern India who live in more specific areas of Manipur. Thadous are the second largest tribe in Manipur.
