Daha çok yaşlılarda görülen bu önemli sağlık sorununun gençlerde görülme se- bepleri cinsiyet, ırk, kalıtım, obezite, travma, mekanik etkenler, kas güçsüzlüğü, östrojenin azalması ve beslenme yetersizliği olarak sayılabilir. Osteoartritte eklemin durumunu değerlendirmek için direkt grafiler kullanılır. Bu çalışmada; osteoartrite genel bakış ve 164 radiografik kellgren sınıflamasına göre stage 2 ve 3 olan hastalarda, aynı seansta lokal anesteziyle uygulanan diz eklemi lavajı ile hyalüronik asit en- jeksiyonu sonrası 1 yıllık takibe göre; sadece eklem lavajı veya eklem içi hyalüronik asid uygulamalarına göre çok daha iyi sonuç veren 2 metodun beraber uygulanma sonuçları sunulmuştur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Eklem Lavajı, Hyalüronik Asit, Osteoartrit Abstract: Osteoarthritis (OA) is cartilage degeneration and influences the daily life adversely. This signifi - cant health problem mostly seen in old people, and reasons why it is seen in young ones can be stated as gender, race, heredity, obesity, trauma, mechanic factors, muscle weakness, reduced oestrogen and nutritional deficiency. For osteoarthritis, direct grap- hics are used to evaluate status of the joint. In this study, general review of osteoarthritis is made and knee-joint lavage with local anesthesia was realized together with hyaluronic acid injection to the 164 patients who were stage 2 and 3 according to kell- gren classification; and results of implementation of 2 methods together, which gave much better results in comparison to only joint lavage or intra-articular hyaluronic acid applications, are presented according to one year follow-up.
