Com base nos estudos sobre aprendizagem e na abordagem da prática social, este artigo considera uma equipe de competição de engenharia como um lócus privilegiado de aprendizagem em suas práticas. Os resultados revelam que no processo de aprendizagem situada que ocorre nas práticas da equipe sobrevém o entrelaçamento do “saber” ao “fazer”, contribuindo para o preenchimento da lacuna teórica existente entre os dois conceitos. Este trabalho contribui para elaborações teóricas sobre aprendizagem nas práticas sociais de equipes de competição de engenharia e cria perspectivas para investigações sobre como tais organizações complementam a formação acadêmica dos estudantes que delas participam. ABSTRACT How does learning, which occurs in the practices of an engineering competition team, contribute to the academic formation of the students taking part in it? Based on the studies on learning and the approach to social practice, this article considers an engineering competition team as a privileged locus of learning in their practices. The results show that, in the process of situated learning that occurs in the team's practices, the intertwining of "knowing" to "doing" occurs, contributing to fill the theoretical gap between the two concepts. This work contributes to the theoretical elaborations about learning in the social practices of engineering competition teams and creates perspectives for investigations on how such organizations complement the academic formation of the students who participate in them.
