Resumen: La importancia de Astigi como capital de Conventus jurídico en la Bética romana, así como las espectaculares manifestaciones materiales que han salido a la luz en los últimos años, han llevado a que las etapas que la preceden y continúan hayan quedado eclipsadas. Es por eso que en estas líneas se pretende mostrar el estado de la cuestión acerca de la ocupación prerromana de Écija, la Astigi Vetus. Abstract: The importance of Astigi, as capital city of juridical Conventus in Roman Baetica and, the spectacular material signs that have turned up in recent years, have overshadowed the previous and subsequent stages. That is the reason to intend to show the state of issues about the pre-Roman occupation of Ecija, the Astigi Vetus, in the following text.
