The high number of pulmonary tuberculosis cases in Semarang City can be caused by low health literacy. Health literacy is the ability of an individual to obtain, process, and understand the necessary health information and services needed to improve health status as expected. There is a strong correlation between low health literacy and inefficient use of health services and detrimental health status. Puskesmas officers are stakeholders who play an essential role in providing optimal understanding regarding health literacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between access to information and the health literacy status of health workers. This study measured two demographic variables and access to pulmonary tuberculosis information associated with the health literacy of health workers. Observational research design with research samples was all staff at Puskesmas Bandarharjo, totaling 52 people. Data were taken by interview using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using chi- square to determine the relationship of each variable. As many as 75% of respondents are health workers. Results showed that 51.9% have worked <5 years. The level of health literacy was still lacking (65.4%), and 98.1% of respondents had received information about pulmonary tuberculosis. There is no relationship between position, length of work, and access to pulmonary tuberculosis information with the health literacy of officers at Bandarharjo Public Health Center. Keywords: Health literacy, access to information, Health center officers. ABSTRAK Cakupan Case Detection Rate tuberkulosis Kota Semarang terus mengalami peningkatan.
