Alona rusticoides is new species and Acroperus sp., Alonella cf. excisa and Paralona pigra seem to be different from species described from Europe. This paper supplements existing informations on unique biota of Venezuelan tepuis. First data on Anomopoda from this region have been published by Smirnov et al. (1995). Material examined: 1. Ptari tepui: pool quite near to tepui slope, 11.2.1995. 2. Roraima tepui: small pool in rock depression, 19.2.1995. 3. Roraima tepui: few pools in bogs rich on filamen- tous Algae and Drosera sp. 20.2.1995. (Figures 1–8) Etymology: The species is named after the similar A. rustica Scott, 1895. Type locality: Roraima Tepui – small pool in rock de- pression. Holotype: one parthenogenetic female mounted in PVA deposited in Britih Museum of Natural History (BMNH) in London (No. 199. ..) Paratypes: The series of parthenogenetic females mounted in PVA: 1-st slide with 10 specimens (BMNH No. 1998.785–795); 2-nd slide with 2 speci- mens (BMNH No. 1998.796–797); 3-rd slide with 13 specimens (BMNH 1998.798–810); and one tube with 15 specimens in alcohol (BMNH 1998.811–825). Few individuals in author’s collection.
