Mobile application can provide such type of accessibility. A mobile with the necessary applications connected with a wireless internet gives the user the required connectivity. Although hardware processing capabilities of the mobile might seems to be a computational constraints but a simpler non traditional programming techniques helps resolving this problem. In this paper, we provide a new business mobile application (BMA). A financial time series models, given a set of measurements that constitute the general stock index of Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), were developed. Two polynomial models with variable accuracy were used to give the user the access right to explore both and admit the best. Index Terms— mobile computing, mobile applications, business applications, financial forecasting, stock exchange, (J2ME) I. I NTRODUCTION In recent years, there has been a tremendous growth in both mobile technologies and mobile applications. This growth affects our personal, social and professional lives in many ways. Mobile application development is defined as,” the process by which application software is developed for small low-power handheld devices such as personal digital assistants (PDA), enterprise digital assistants or mobile phones. These applications are either pre-installed on phones during man- ufacture, or downloaded by customers from various mobile software distribution platforms.” [1]. A new era of business applications were introduce due to the use of smart devices. This is clearly noticed with the use of remote access to information via wireless networks and satel- lite systems. Recent survey on the use of mobile application reported that,” 70% of organizations are currently deploying at least one mobile application, with more than a third of these companies deploying multiple mobile applications” [2]. In 2008, it was reported [3] that, ”In the fourth quarter of 2008, worldwide sales of smart phones to end users reached 38.1 million units, an increase of 3.7 per cent on the fourth quarter of 2007, according to Gartner, Inc. Global sales of A. F. Sheta is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science Department, The World Islamic Science and Education (WISE) University, Amman, Jordan. He is on leave from the Electronics Research Institute (ERI), Cairo, Egypt smart phones for 2008 reached 139.3 million devices, up 13.9 per cent compared with 2007”. As the market sale grows, the need for more mobile applications which satisfy the customer requirements becomes more challenge [4]. In [5], authors investigated the correlation- based fingerprint authentication schemes that can be used for mobile devices. The investigated algorithms were implemented with a J2ME environment on the application layer in order to reduce the resources demanded for the mobile device environment. The developed algorithm was tested on a J2ME CDC 1.0 emulator of a smart mobile phone. A non-invasive and transparent remote presentation system for legacy J2ME applications, called RDA (Remote Display using Aspects) was presented in [6]. RDA was build using aspect-oriented programming for J2ME devices in a form of applications with remote management code. In [7], authors developed rule-based Expert Systems on Islamic medication on mobile platform. The Mobile Islamic Medication Expert Systems (MIMES) focuses on physical and inner illnesses. The developed knowl- edge base system had a set of rules which describes the types of illness or sickness together with their related cures or treatments/therapies, exclusively from the Quran and Hadith. There are number of limitation on making mobile appli- cation widely use. These limitations constraints related to memory size, limited power, processing capability, operating systems and connectivity access that limit the application development [8]. Any mobile application should be capable of dealing with these various aspects and be able to provide a fast, accurate and user satisfaction applications. ”Dreams which will inspire our future efforts in mobile computing and some imaginary mobile computing scenarios from the future” were reported in [9]. In this paper, our objective is to provide an efficient ap- plication over mobile to help in modeling and estimating the stock exchange index for Amman. In spite of the reported business mobile application which in most cases connected to the internet and collect information about stock index, this application compute and predict the stock index for the coming incident in time. A set of variables represents the index where used as input for first and second order polynomial models. The output of the model is the index estimated value. The proposed model was simple, efficient. The processing time
