Bassem.salah@alexu.edu.eg; Ghada.elkhayat@alexu.edu.eg; Manal.elkordy@alexu.edu.eg Abstract Blockchain technology enables the creation of completely new business models that are completely peer-to-peer and therefore fundamentally different from existing business models. However, the research is unfolding the willingness of one of the international banks in Egypt to introduce Blockchain technology to improve the effectiveness of its business operations. The main objectives of the research are based on developing a framework of the factors influencing the adoption of Blockchain through an extensive literature review and assessing the willingness of the bank to adopt Blockchain using a qualitative approach through interviews with executives of this bank in Egypt. The results of the study have shown that laws and regulations, governance, poor and underdeveloped economy, a ban on cryptocurrency in Egypt, are factors influencing willingness to adopt Blockchain in Egypt. .
