Bras. em Ci. da Inf. e Bib., João Pessoa, v. 13, n. 2, p. 109-122, 2018. 109 PRESERVACAO DA INFORMACAO DIGITAL ACESSO ÀS GERAÇÕES FUTURAS 1 Email: fcpaletta@usp.br luara.ramos@usp.br Francisco Carlos Paleta, Laura Martins Oliveira Ramos RESUMO As constantes mudanças nas formas de organização tradicional da informação presentes em ambientes informacionais digitais são reflexos da incorporação das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TICs), como no caso das bibliotecas e repositórios digitais, que armazenam, preservam, disseminam e permitem o acesso a produção científica e intelectual agregando recursos que possibilitam o processo de construção do conhecimento, a partir da participação colaborativa aplicada em diferentes ambientes. Este trabalho é resultado de projeto de pesquisa conduzido na Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo e tem por objetivo analisar os avanços proporcionados pelo uso dos recursos computacionais aplicados à preservação e conservação da informação digital e a interdisciplinaridade do tema com seus desafios tecnológicos, capacitação profissional e investimento em infraestrutura de tecnologia da informação capaz de proporcionar à Biblioteca Digital a atuação em garantir o acesso e a disponibilidade da informação. A metodologia utilizada neste estudo foi a revisão sistemática da literatura e dos principais autores que investigam o tema preservação e conservação de acervo. Como resultado principal da pesquisa pode-se afirmar que a preservação digital consiste na capacidade de garantir que a informação permaneça acessível, interpretável e autêntica, permitindo a sua transferência para gerações futuras. ABSTRACT The constant changes in the traditional forms of information organization present in digital information environments are a reflection of the incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), as in the case of digital libraries and repositories, which store, preserve, disseminate and allow access the scientific and intellectual production aggregating resources that make possible the process of knowledge construction, from the collaborative participation applied in different environments. This work is the result of a research project conducted at the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo and aims to analyze the advances provided by the use of computational resources applied to the preservation and conservation of digital information and the interdisciplinarity of the theme with its technological challenges , professional qualification and investment in information technology infrastructure capable of providing the Digital Library with the task of guaranteeing access to and availability of information. The methodology used in this study was the systematic review of the literature and the main authors that investigate the theme conservation and conservation of the collection. As the main result of the research, it can be said that digital preservation consists of the ability to guarantee that the information remains accessible, interpretable and authentic, allowing its transference to future generations.
