Sob essa perspectiva, a ideia de comparar uma cidade de maior porte, São Paulo, SP, em área e números de habitantes, com uma cidade menor, Espírito Santo do Pinhal, SP, torna-se interessante, pois permite entender como construções locais antrópicas afetam o microclima das cidades, afetando o dia-a-dia de seus residentes. A perspectiva central deste trabalho foi analisar as mudanças de temperatura ocasionadas pela ocorrência de nebulosidade nos locais, nos períodos determinados, pois a nebulosidade afeta diretamente a entrada de radiação solar que interfere e modifica as condições de temperatura. Partiu-se do princípio de que quando há precipitação, há formação de nuvens, independente do tipo ou gênese da chuva, gerando assim variação na amplitude térmica. As análises foram feitas à luz de dados climáticos obtidos no período de 2003 a 2009. Abstract: With the significant increase in global population and increasing weather data becomes important to study the urban climate, especially the interactions between temperature and rainfall that are extremely important parameters for human life. From this perspective, the idea of comparing a larger city, São Paulo, SP, in the area and number of inhabitants, with a smaller town, Espírito Santo do Pinhal, SP, becomes interesting because it allows to understand how local buildings affect the microclimate of anthropogenic cities, affecting the daily lives of its residents. The central point of this study was to analyze the temperature changes caused by the occurrence of cloudiness in the period certain, because the cloudiness affects directly the input of solar radiation that interferes and modifies the temperature. Departed from the principle that when there is precipitation, cloud formation, regardless of type or genesis of rain, thereby generating variation in temperature range. The analyses were made in the light of climatic data obtained in the period from 2003 to 2009. 1. Objetivos Esta pesquisa tem um objetivo central que é promover uma análise climática a respeito das cidades de Espírito Santo do Pinhal e São Paulo, levando em conta fatores de amplitude térmica, comparados à pluviosidade de cada local. Os objetivos gerais foram; aprofundar os estudos de climatologia no âmbito da geografia; pesquisar e organizar dados climáticos, elaborar gráficos e tabelas nos quais foi possível observar diferenças referentes aos dados entre ambas as cidades e
