Özellikle anterior bölgede birden fazla diş arasında bulunan boşluklar, polidiastema (çoklu diastema) olarak adlandırılmaktadır. En önemli sebeplerin başında genetik faktörler gelmektedir. Toplumda çok yaygın görülebilen bu tür estetik problemleri ortadan kaldırmak amacıyla uygulanan ve ortodontik, protetik, ve restoratif işlemleri içeren farklı tedavi prosedürleri mevcuttur. Restoratif tedavi diğer seçeneklere oranla daha basit, hızlı ve kolay bir yöntemdir. Doğru seçilen teknik ve malzemelerle, bu tip estetik tedaviler etkin bir şekilde yapılabilmektedir. Asitle pürüzlendirme sonrası proksimal yüzeylere direkt kompozit rezin restoratif materyal ilavesi; daha pratik, konservatif ve düşük maliyetli bir tedavi seçeneğidir. Bu çalışmada; dişlerindeki polidiastemaya bağlı estetik şikayetle kliniğimize başvuran 5 farklı hastaya, direkt kompozit rezin yöntemiyle uygulanan restoratif tedavi işlemlerinin anlatılması amaçlanmıştır. Restorasyonların tamamlanmasının ardından, hastaların 3 aylık periyodik takip randevuları planlanmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Anterior polidiastema, direkt kompozit restorasyon, konservatif tedavi ABSTRACT Diastema is caused by differences between sizes of two adjacent tooth or gaps in the dental arch; and thereby, this gives rise to considerable aesthetic disorders and dentofacial incompatibility. Especially, spaces seen among many teeth in the anterior region is named as polidiastema (multiple diastema). One of the most important reasons are genetic factors. In order to elimination of such aesthetic problems encountered very common in society, there are different treatment procedures including orthodontic, prosthodontic and restorative procedures. Restorative treatment is more a quick, simple and easy method than the other options. Such aesthetic treatments can be performed efficiently with the right choice of materials and techniques. The addition of directly composite resin restorative material to the proximal surfaces after acid etching is a treatment option that more a practical, conservative and low cost. In this study were aimed to describe the restorative treatment process implemented with direct composite resin method to 5 different patients that admitted to our clinic with aesthetic complaints related to polidiastema. Following the completion of the restorations, it was planned periodically 3-month follow-up appointments of patients.
