Može biti konduktivnog ili senzorineuralnog tipa (SNHL). Senzorineuralno oštećenje sluha nastaje zbog degeneracije kohlee, koja je odgovorna za transdukciju zvučnih stimulusa u nervni impuls. Cilj rada je bio da se utvrde efekti primenjene vazoaktivne i hemokinetske terapije kod osoba sa senzorineuralnom hipo- akuzijom koji su odbili ugrađivanje slušnih amplifkatora. Pacijenti i metode: Retrospektivnom studijom je obuhvaćen 51 pacijent, kojima je u trogodišnjem periodu na Kliici za otorinolaringologiju KC Niš postavljena dijagnoza senzo- rineuralne nagluvosti. Bolesnici su klinički procenjivani na osnovu otoskopskog pregleda i nalaza tonalne audiometrije. Pacijenti su bili na terapiji pentoksiflinom, vitaminima B1 i B6, cinarizinom (stariji od 50 godina) i betahistinom (mlađi od 50 godina), 28 dana. Nakon terapije, koristeći tonalnu audio- metriju, pratili smo frekvence od 125–8000 Hz i poboljšanja u decibelima. Kontrole su bile na 3 do 4 nedelje. Za analizu i obradu smo koristili najgori nalaz i najbolji odgovor. Primenjena terapija je dovela do poboljšanja u svim frekven- cama, a naročito u visokim (2–8 kHz) (p < 0.001). Subjektivne tegobe, poput zujanja u ušima su bile odsutne, ili su gubile na intenzitetu. Pacijenti su imali subjektivni osećaj bolje slušne funkcionalnosti (bolja komunikacija, bolji slušni doživljj oko- line). U našoj studiji smo pokazali da primena vazodilatatora i he- mokinetika u lečenju SNHL kod bolesnika ima pozitivne efekte u svim frekvencama, pogotovo u visokim (2–8 kHz). Ključne reči: senzorineuralna hipoakuzija, vazodilatatori, hemokinetici, tonalna audiometrija Abstract Hearing loss is one of the most common health problems which is manifested by a subjective feeling of impaired hearing, the im- possibility of listening in noise, intermittent or constant tinnitus. It can be conductive or sensorineural type (SNHL). Sensorineu- ral hearing loss is caused by degeneration of the cochlea, which is responsible for the transduction of sound stimuli into nerve impulse. Te aim of this study was to determine the efects of the applied vasoactive and hemokinetic therapy in people with sensorineu- ral hypoacusis who refused embedding hearing aids. Tis retrospective study included 51 patients, which were in a three-year period in Clinic of Otorhinolaryngology KC Nis di- agnosed with sensorineural hearing loss. Patients were clinical- ly evaluated on the basis of the fndings of otoscopy and tonal audiometry. Patients were treated with pentoxifylline, vitamins B1 and B6, cinnarizine (older than 50 years) and betahistine (younger than 50 years), for 28 days. Afer the treatment, us- ing pure tone audiometry, we monitored the frequency of 125- 8000 Hz and improvements in decibels. Controls were in 3 to 4 weeks. For analyzing and processing we used the worst fnding and the best answer. Applied therapy led to improvements in all frequencies, par- ticularly at high frequencies (2-8 kHz) (p < .001). Subjective symptoms such as tinnitus were absent, or were losing their intensity. Patients had a subjective feeling of better auditory functionality (better communication, better hearing experi- ence of environment). In our study, we demonstrated that administration of vasodila- tors and hemokinetics in the treatment of patients with SNHL has positive efects in all frequencies, especially at high frequen- cies (2-8 kHz).
