Infeksi dari virus yang menyerang kekebalan tubuh manusia ini dihadapi oleh negara maju dan berkembang. Penyalahgunaan narkoba dapat mempengaruhi perilaku berisiko HIV/AIDS, khususnya melalui pemakaian bersama jarum suntik narkoba. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perilaku berisiko tertular HIV/AIDS pada terpidana kasus narkoba di LAPAS Kelas IIA Kendari tahun 2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian survey deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh terpidana kasus narkoba yang dipenjara di LAPAS Kelas IIA Kendari yaitu sebanyak 135 orang dan sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 56 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Simple Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan responden tentang HIV/AIDS sudah cukup baik yaitu sebesar 98%. Sikap responden terhadap HIV/AIDS cenderung menunjukkan sikap postitif yaitu sebanyak 95%. Tindakan responden yang berisiko tertular HIV/AIDS sebelum berada di LAPAS sebanyak 93%. Selain itu, responden yang mengetahui dan mendapat risiko tertular HIV/AIDS dari teman sesama napinya sebanyak 29%. Disarankan untuk pihak Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIA Kendari agar para petugas LAPAS ditingkatkan pengawasannya terhadap narapidana. The Infection of virus that attacks the human immune is faced by developed and developing countries. The Drug abuse can affect the risky behavior for contracting HIV / AIDS, especially through sharing of drug needles. The purpose of this study was to know the risky behavior for contracting the HIV/AIDS on convict of drug cases in class IIA prisons of Kendari city in 2016. The method of study was a quantitative study using a descriptive survey study design. The populations in this study were all convict of drug cases were incarcerated in Class IIA Prisons of Kendari city as many as 135 people and the sample in this study as many as 56 people. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling method. The results showed that the respondents' knowledge about HIV / AIDS has been good enough as many as 98%. Respondents' attitudes towards HIV / AIDS tend to showed positive attitude as many as 95%. Respondents’ actions that were at risk of contracting HIV / AIDS before convicted in prisons as many as 93%. In addition, respondents who knew and got the risk of contracting HIV / AIDS from fellow convict as many as 29%. The prisons officers of Correctional Institution Class IIA of Kendari City are suggested to improve the supervision of prisoners.
