by society. The concept of value is also frequently included in the ethical and moral issues of philosophy. The
concept of value, in which philosophical debates about what happens to continue, has been incorporated into
educational programs to ensure the continuity of local cultures and universally accepted forms of behavior that
are threatened with globalization. Value education is carried out by the teachers in our country as in the whole
world. In this study, social studies pre-service teachers, who will carry out value education within the scope of
social studies course after being included in the national education system, took the value education course as
an elective course during a semester. Then, their value worlds are examined. The case study, which was one of
the qualitative research patterns were implemented in this study. The study conducted with a total of 21

result, it was concluded that the value education course creates a value awareness on social studies pre-service

as a mandatory course.

perspective of definition, it can be easily seen that all the emerging standards are a reflection of thousands of
years of Turkish and Islamic culture. All human communities want to raise individuals who know their own
values, recognize them, reflect them on their lives and transfer these values to future generations. Thanks to
the value education, individuals learn to integrate with their societies, to socialize in the society and to have a
sense of belonging to the cultural geography they live in (Turan & Ulusoy, 2016). The ability of the individual
to take a place in social life and to reflect the values of the society to their behavior is directly proportional.
The more integrated person is with the values of the society, the easier it is to gain a respectable position in the
