In order to obtain circular cutting of the sheet metal at any size, the adjustable tool setup is provided thereby reducing the cost and increasing the productivity. In many industries the circular profile cutting of the sheet metal is done by punching machines. But in case of small and medium scale industries, using separate machines for sheet metal for cutting for various applications is not possible. This paper deals with "Design and fabrication of sheet metal cutter - cutting circular profile using radial drilling machine". Instead of using drilling bits, a separate adjustable tool holder arrangement, which contains a single point cutting tool, is provided for cutting operations. INTRODUCTION In many industries the circular cutting of the sheet metal is done by using punching machine. But in case of small and medium scale industries, using separate machines for sheet metal cutting for various applications is not possible. In any type of industries, sheet metal plays a vital role for variety of applications. Affordability is the main factor in case of small and medium scale industries. In order to increase the production rate and profitability, there is a need to reduce the cost. Drilling machine is the excellent choice for carrying out the circular sheet metal cutting because every industry will be having the drilling operations. Any type of drilling machine can be employed for cutting of sheet metal, which is depending upon production cost and rate. Many works have been done to carry out the various machining operations, for that special machine, tools, fixtures are invented. Some inventor had tried to carry out the Sheet Metal Cutting operation by inventing special purpose machine for it. Merrill L[1]. Ridgway this invention relates to devices for cutting sheet metal and more particularly to the type of machine having a pair of relatively reciprocal shearing members which make successive short cuts or bites in a sheet as the latter is fed through the machine. Narasimhan, [3], they evaluate the influence of tool clearance, friction, sheet thickness, punch/die size and blanking layout on the sheet deformation for thin M. S. sheet. The punch load variation with tool travel and stress distribution in the sheet has been obtained. The results indicate that a reduction in the tool clearance increases the blanking load. The blanking load increases with an increase in the coefficient of friction. These observations are very similar to the case of blanking of component of large size. Further, these effects are very similar in the case of both single and double blanking. An inter blanking site distance of about twice the sheet thickness is good to reduce the thinning of sheet at the intermediate regions between the two blanking sites. II. DESIGN OF COMPONENTS: a) Sleeve Design: A sleeve is an important component for mounting the drilling tool on the drilling machine. Usual way of mounting the drill tool is done by using the sleeve. If the taper shank of the drill is smaller than taper in the spindle hole, a sleeve is used. The sleeve has outside taper surface. This fits into the taper hole in the spindle. this inside taper of the sleeve can hold the drill or small sleeve. In the sleeve also, there is tang which is used for the avoiding sleeve. In this paper, the drill bit is not used for making the circular hole on the sheet metal. In this, a separate slot is provided at the bottom of the sleeve. Usually the material used for sleeve is mild steel. Mild steel is the most preferable material because of its high strength , easy machinability, low cost and durability. The main purpose of providing the square slot on the bottom of the sleeve is to avoid the slipping of the horizontal rod, which is inserted in it. b) Horizontal tool holding arrangement:
