Koczan Abstract: The idea of the experiment was planned a few years ago and was published on the network in the form of a note (17.09.2016) to resolve the controversy between resting, longitudinal and transverse relativistic mass. Since Kaufmann's experiment essentially confirmed the transverse mass as early as 1901, attention was focused on the longitudinal mass. It would seem that the simplest experiment with a central inelastic collision should generate a longitudinal mass measurement. However, this does not happen and a simple experimental formula determines the relativistic (transverse) mass, not the longitudinal mass. A fierce critic of the concept of relativistic mass, not understanding the reason for this state of affairs, criticized the experiment proposal and pointed out the alleged errors. Therefore, this material will mainly be a response to criticism and thus criticism. However, the experiment itself will be presented in a way. An additional effect is to find a solvable elementary model of the dynamics of the collision process. This model embraces the iceberg at which the critic crashed.
