(2) Menjelaskan perkembangan poster di Yogyakarta tahun 1945-1949. (3) Menganalisis fungsi dan dampak poster bagi masyarakat Yogyakarta pada tahun 1945-1949. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang meliputi tahap heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa poster pada masa revolusi dibuat oleh seniman sanggar seni PTPI, SIM dan Pelukis Rakyat atau kerja sama sanggar dengan pemerintah atau badan pemerintah tertentu yang memiliki bagian pembuat poster sendiri. Fungsi poster sebelum Agresi Militer Belanda II ialah provokasi kepada musuh dan penerangan masyarakat umum, sedangkan fungsinya ketika Agresi Militer Belanda II adalah pembinaan kalangan pejuang, pembinaan masyarakat umum dan jawaban provokasi musuh. Karena poster pada masa revolusi sangat efektif di lapangan, maka dampak poster mengikuti fungsinya. Semangat tempur para pejuang tinggi, bangkitnya kesadaran masyarakat umum untuk mengakomodasi para pejuang di garis depan, dan motivasi positif para pejuang maupun rakyat untuk berjuang bersama-sama sampai akhir. Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This study aims to: (1) to explain about Yogyakarta city during the revolution in 1945-1949. (2) to explain the development of poster in Yogyakarta 1945-1949. (3) to reveal function and impact of poster for Yogyakarta society in 1945-1949. This research used historical research method which consist four steps: heuristic, source critic, interpretation and historiography. The result of the research shows that the poster in revolution is made by art artist of PTPI, SIM and Pelukis Rakyat or cooperation of studio with government or government agency which owning part of poster maker. The function of poster before the Dutch Military Aggression II was a provocation to the enemy and to deliver information to public, during the Dutch Military Aggression II the poster was a guidance of the fighters, the guidance of the public and the response of the enemy provocation. Because of poster in revolution is very effective, so the impact has same with function.
