This saweran tradition is carried out as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT who has given favors and sustenance in the form of children. In addition, nyawer is also a medium that strengthens togetherness, teaches how to share with others, and teaches that as God's creatures, it is appropriate to always be grateful to Him for everything that is achieved. This study aims to describe how the process of the newborn nyawer tradition that occurs in Kp. Cibiru in the perspective of 'urf. This article is the result of empirical research using a qualitative approach. This research was conducted first by interviewing local people as informants to explore related traditions. This tradition has long been carried out from generation to generation by the people in Cibiru village because this tradition is a form of gratitude to Allah SWT for the blessings that have been given and reminds to share with each other. As for the view of Urf tardisi, in terms of the object, it includes urf amali (actions), in terms of its scope, it is included in urf al-khas (specifically) and in terms of the validity of this tradition, it is included in urf shahi (not against the rules and laws of Islam). Tradisi saweran ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk rasa syukur kepada Allah SWT yang telah memberikan nikmat dan rezeky berupa anak. Selain itu, nyawer juga merupakan salah satu media yang mempererat kebersamaan, mengajarkan cara untuk berbagi dengan sesama, serta mengajarkan bahwa sebagai makhluk Tuhan, sudah sepatutnya untuk selalu bersyukur kepada-Nya akan setiap hal yang diraih.
